About the book >.>.> The existence and progress of which can be traced only by a prodigious amount of original and pains- taking research; hitherto their history has gone almost entirely unrecorded in the pages of Henwood Collins Dines and other writers. The results of this research are being published in a series of regional parts each with map and illustrations which will ultimately cover the whole of the county. These parts of which this is the thirteenth vary in length but are similar in style and layout so that the complete work estimated to extend to some 1000 pages can be shelved as a uniform series or can be bound into a combined volume. This work will be a major contribution to the published records of Cornish mining history and will be of importance also in wider fields – in the general history of Cornwall and in the history of metalliferous mining in Great Britain.
