About the book >.>.> The second collection is another series of journal quilts from the years 2011 and 2012. made for the annual challenge set by the Contemporary Quilters a group that is part of the Quilters Guild of the British Isles. I now have a total of six complete years of little pieces of quilt art each year with a different theme and a different set of instructions. For 2011 the size was 10″ or 25 cm square: the first four months had to have a circle in them the next four text and the final four had to include a button. Personally I prefer to work with a theme and chose ‘Birds’ which I thoroughly enjoyed. The sketchbook pages that usually accompany the journal quilts are missing because during that year we bought and totally re-built a large barn more of a shed really and turned it into an eco-friendly teaching studio complete with beautiful living accommodation.
