For Britain and the USA there was little comparison between the vehicles in service at the beginning of the conflict and those being produced in 1945. Armoured fighting vehicles (in particular tanks) from this period are well documented and yet the seemingly mundane cargo-carrying vehicles are frequently ignored by historians. In an attempt to remedy this oversight World War Two Military Vehicles summarises the multiplicity of logistical military vehicles used by the major players during the long years of war. The vehicles are organised by type and by country of origin and the text describes significant or innovative machines. Comprehensive tables list all of the vehicles available for the particular r?le giving a standardised nomenclature and technical information.
