About the book >.>.> The writing of this book Anna’s Song serves the primary purpose of showing the research and the telling of stories that our research team uncovered in our quest to learn about a lost and unknown Old Master oil painting by Frans Hals. When this portrait of a young girl whom we named Little Anna was taken out of the bank vault and shown to us we were unexpectedly taken aback! To tell the truth we didn’t expect the painting to be what its owner said it was. This painting immediately struck us as being very old and having been painted by an exceptional artist. We saw the artist’s monogram and date on the front plus a piece of paper with writing on it attached to the back. The photograph we had been shown didn’t do the painting justice. As we examined it we realized that this could absolutely be the real thing and we were in awe of actually holding an authentic Frans Hals portrait in our hands. Before we saw the actual painting we had been told by the owner’s attorney through our attorney that the portrait was dated 1633 and was purported to be a Frans Hals painting. He said the owner wanted to sell it and knew it would be necessary for research to be done. The owner’s attorney also made it clear that the owner wanted to remain anonymous for as long as he could.
