The School began in the building now called Old Blundell’s beside the River Lowman but in 1882 it moved to a new site on the outskirts of the town where it has since remained. Originally it was an exclusively boys’ school but took the important step in 1975 of admitting girls and is now fully co-educational In its time Blundell’s has produced an Archbishop of Canterbury several Bishops and other influential religious leaders as well as notable authors military persons and outstanding men and women i the worlds of sport and business.
