It complements the authors’ Book of Boxmoor and companion titles on Hemel Hempstead. It includes a concise introduction and a useful list of pictures. Roger and Joan Hands came to Boxmoor nearly 30 years ago; Roger is a partner in a gardening and nursery business at Aldenham; Joan taught locally and they have brought up two sons here. Roger is a Boxmoor Trustee helps to manage Boxmoor Trout Fishery and was a founder member of Dacorum Museum Advisory Committee replaced by Dacorum Heritage Trust of which he is a director. Joan was Chairman of the Friends of Dacorum Museum formed the Harlequin Children’s Theatre and is Chairman of Hertfordshire Dyslexia Association having an RSA Diploma from Watford Dyslexia Unit and an honours degree in education. They produced The Book of Boxmoor with Eve Davis. (LL)
