About the book >.>.> I am a man of images but I was born in a time where humans weren’t yet born as images. Today we’re already images in our mother’s belly. A sound sweep transforms us into uterine images and there we are unperturbed and comfortable unaware that we have already become a spectacle for our mother the doctor and the nurses projected on a computer screen at the pediatri- cian’s office. Our first house having been violated our intimacy invaded we have already become potential participants of this version of Big Brother that the world has become. The society of spectacle awaits us outside so “smile you’re on camera!”. When I was a child I was dazzled by images. During the first years of my life I lived at my grandfather’s house who was a pe- diatrician and an amateur filmmaker/photographer. There was a shed in his backyard. Inside it the world became red like hell is red like brothels are red and red like photo labs. I was five years old and didn’t know what hell or brothels were. My grandfather was neither the devil nor a pimp but some type of magician who could make images appear on a piece of paper. He had a drawer where he kept a series of photographs he had taken of deformed children in the hospital he worked at. I don’t know if out of scien- tific or aesthetic curiosity. We were forbidden of going near that drawer. This obviously made me find the key open the drawer (SP)
