But most of the works shown are sophisticated compositions that concisely visualize the written word. Study them carefully. Three-dimensional collages also called assemblages which are usually composed of found objects are cov ered only briefly. The final chapter focuses on these works and others can be seen elsewhere in the book but they generally accentuate a two- dimensional approach to the imagery.
