About the book >.>.> Paper beads are made by rolling a long strip of paper around a slim rick. Any stick. For consistency I use hollow plastic cotton swabs throughout this book. They come in a standard size are widely available and they’re cheap. Because they’re plastic it’s easy to pull them out of the finished head. They’re hollow so they can be trimmed and left inside the bead for extra durability. Plastic coffee stirrers and drink- ing straws are other options but vir- tually any slim stick can be used. However if glue or shellac gets on a wooden stick like a toothpick it can wedge stubbornly inside the bead making it useless for anything but un extravagantly decorated toothpick The same problem can beser nails and other metal sticks.
