About the book >.>.> Students and Astrologers alike go to much trouble to be sure to notate whether or not a planet is Retrograde when drawing up a chart. But what happens after that? Aside from a rather vague understanding that such a planet may not be giving the individual the benefits he derives from direct motion planets any attempts to interpret the exact meanings of these obvious “oddities” have been not only confusing but lacking in any agreeable understanding throughout the field. As a result the entire subject carries with it a rather mysterious intrigue clouded by numerous guesses which seem to contradict each other. The problem for the most part has been the multiple dimensions of the Retrograde effect. We know that in many areas of Astrology the proper interpretation lies in discov- ering the dimension through which a particular planet sign house or aspect is working for the individual. The same is true of Retrograde planets. While Astrologers have been looking for the “one” true obvious effect they have missed the very obvious fact that Retrogrades work in diffe- rent ways at the same time. This is probably the main reason why the entire subject has not been clearly under- stood before now. Retrograde planets open up a new and much deeper understanding of an individual than Astrology has hereto- fore attempted to discover. They are in fact a rather unique experience in consciousness; describing so much of what ac- tually happens within an individual whether or not it finds expression in his outer life. And the fascinating part of all of this is the tremendous amount of thoughtfulness intros- pection and depth that a person can achieve through under- standing and using his Retrograde planets. After much study on this subject it becomes easy to see how things in life can be different from each other without one necessarily being better or worse than another. The author hopes that these pages will help those who seek to understand the Retrograde Process. (LL)
