The world-famous Passion Play brings thousands weekly to the quiet village and the story of the play will be included in these pages. No existing books of pictured flowers seem to satisfy either botanists or artists and the Author hopes these sketches of flowers gathered and painted by a daughter of Ober Ammergau whose family has helped to create and keep alive the work begun nearly 300 years ago will supply a long felt want. The flowers are not arranged scientifically; each month beginning with April brings an ever-increasing variety and their story will be duly chronicled.
