About the book >.>.> In this exhibition the China National Silk Museum will solemnly introduce to every visitor to the London Olympies from all parts of the world: the origin of Chinese silk the thousands of years of splendid history of Chinese people who lived in silk’ and the ingenious traditional Chinese sericulture and silk craftsmanship which has been inscribed in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as well as the elaborate design and rich culture embraced by Chinese silk. Through the exhibition we hope that the time honoured Silk Road can bring the world closer via the platform of the Olympics. We would like to express our gratitude to Nottingham City Council for their tremendous efforts for the fulfillment of the exhibition.
