About the book >.>.> With the Axis forces fully focused on the war in the East and the drive to defeat the Soviet Army the threat of Britain being invaded considerably diminished. The RAF found a new focus by going on the offensive with fighter and light-bomber sweeps across the Channel trying to draw the remaining Luftwaffe fighter units into combat. At night RAF Bomber Command continued its night bombing of German cities and industry although with the publication of the Butt Report in August 1941 it appeared much of this effort was being wasted through inaccurate bombing. As predicted by Air Intelligence the Luftwaffe began to make new types of aircraft operational including the Dornier Do217 and the Focke Wulf FW190 Both types soon fell into the Allied hands as did the Me210 and developments of the Bf109.
