About the book >.>.> Author Charles Kenyon Jr. became interested in guns at the age of 10 when he spent many afternoons watching a neighborhood master gunsmith at work. Born in Morgantown West Virginia in 1936 he acquired his first Luger pistol (a DWM Military) for $18 when he was only 12 years old. His serious Luger interest didn’t start sintit 1958 when he swapped for a 1900 Luger at a local gun show and bought a copy of Fred Datig’s Luger book to see what he had. Before the day was out he had picked up five more L?gers he has been collecting them ever since. and Within a few years his collection now over 70 pieces and concentrated on commercial and contract models was taking prizes at shows from the east coast to as far west as Oklahoma and Texas His note book of Luger data grew until it had to be transferred to ‘file cards (now over 1300 cards on commercial examples alone) and in 1967 he began reworking these notes into Lugers at Random. Mr. Kenyon is a Field Technical Manager for National Cash Register’s Washington D.C. office where he is responsible for seeing that all NCR equipment adding machines to computers is performing properly.
