Perhaps you are drawn to the end results or perhaps you know you enjoy the process of finding materials sticking them together and putting things out in the world. Making sculpture building models and creating stuff is a fantastically optimistic thing to do. It is never a waste of time to sit with a pile of materials your hands your imagination. You will know that fantastic feeling as a small idea drops into your head your fingers start to move and you begin to create. In lots of ways you do not need the help of others. Your wonderful brain and your urge to make is more than enough to create the most fantastic things-things no one has made before things that did not exist until you brought them into the world. But do get adults to help you. Ask them to collect materials for you to make with (they’re often free). Ask them for help with things like glue guns which when used responsibly under adult supervision will open up a whole new world of making to you. Ask them for help in creating the time and space for you to make (and for putting up with the mess!). And most of all remind them to value what you make. (SP)
