About the book >.>.> I have a deep respect and sense of wonder for the natural world. When I walk through the bush and the forests and swim in the ocean and the rivers I feel connected and at peace. I feel whole and I find the language to express my ideas. Whenever I see the environment being destroyed the stronger I become in my passion for wanting to preserve it. I am a conservationist. I cannot paint dolphins and gum trees without wanting to save them. Nature gives me everything and I want to give something back. We all have a moral duty in this next decade to fight for the preservation of the last of this planet’s wilderness areas to stop polluting our oceans and to ensure peace for humankind. In this book I have chosen simple classic shapes to complement my designs from nature. I have added my symbols for peace love and harmony messages from my heart to bring joy to all who knit. Living and loving nature and being in harmony with it is the only truth I know. I believe in the words of the American Indian Chief Seattle who wrote in 1854 ‘This we know- the earth does not belong to man-man belongs to the earth. All things are connected whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.’ I hope that through my designs you will be inspired to preserve our natural environment too.
