Papa is a painter-a very famous painter-and he painted this picture of visitors coming to see us. They had travelled by train to the nearest station and then the carriage had rattled and jolted along the dusty road for an hour and a quarter so they were very glad when at last they saw the bridge leading to Lilla Hyttn?s. The carriage clattered over it and they looked down on the rushing water and the logs pushing and jostling on their way to the saw-mill. The pig scuttled grunting towards the flowers on the river bank as the carriage drove down the wide road. The visitors had arrived at our beautiful house. (SP)
