About the book >.>.> Sharing my passion for quilting with Sylvia gives me great joy! Something wonderful happened when we started working together. Although our specialized interests differed we were soon exchanging helpful ideas. For many years I had been studying Japanese fabrics and using them almost exclusively in my quilts. Sylvia on the other hand wanted to make textile versions of flowers birds and sea life inspired from her life in Hawaii. As time went on we made many quilts together co- authored a book traveled to teach at retreats and showed our quilts. And now Sylvia has designed many patterns and written this book with useful ideas for making innovative quilts. A mother’s heartfelt gratitude pride and love go to my daughter Sylvia. (LL)
