About the book >.>.> Poussin did not end with such extremes as the Rouen picture. The precise chronology of the other works executed at this same is unclear but this terming severity seemed to be taking over. The overt inconsistence of Poussin’s development is proved by the one painting which can be securely dared to 1638 by Felibien the Lougee Moses saved from the Water Without such evidence it would be tempting to place the painting rather later than the Rouen picture.
