About the book >.>.> I love to sew and I love quilts! My love for quilting began over a dozen years ago when I ventured to make my own quilt. I lived in Lancaster County Pennsylvania at the time and was surrounded by beautiful Amish quilts. I longed to have one but unfortunately it just wasn’t in my budget. Having always been a do-it-yourself kinda gal I knew I coul make a quilt of my owri. With the sewing machine my mother-in-law had given me and very basic sewing skills I was off and running! Although I love hand sewing and slowing things down a bit I must admit that making something from start to finish in just a few hours is very appealing to me. Mini quilts satisfy that desire perfectly. The projects in this book all come from bird quilts I started making about five years ago. They were something I could play around with for an hour or so in the morning before everyone was awake and see to completion. The beauty of these quilts is that they’re small enough that I can make them on a whim. And you can too! Just grab some scraps of linen and pretty cotton prints a bit of fusible web a pencil. (LL)
