About the book >.>.> In my first book The Politics of Reality I was exposing PUD’s arrogant construction of itself as exhausting all sense and I was locating the edges gaps and incoherencies of that world in order to know in a useful and articulate way that PUD is not all the world there is or ever could be. I was claiming the possibility of other worlds but not yet saying much about how we will make them how we are making them. So most of the work in Politics is responsive in a general way to men’s oppres- sion of women but is not to a great extent shaped as responses to particular issues or to other feminists’ initiatives. In contrast most of the writing in this new collection came into being as responses to other people’s (all but one of them women’s) projects or topics or to events or problems in my various communities of identity and/or work. In reviews responses commentaries and writings which address topics set by others my own analysis. (LL)
