He proclaimed emphatically that at all times and under all circumstances a man must try to do what in conscience he considered to be right whatever it might cost him in wealth or popularity or friend- ship or even pain and death. It was never to be a question He said of whether it paid or not of what people might think or say or do. The only thing to decide was whether in the sight of God the thing was right. He declared also that the main purpose of our existence the greatest and best offering that we could make to the glory of God-was honest and unselfish human fellowship the fellowship that knows no barriers of nation or class or sect the fellowship in which each works eagerly for the common good.
